UltaMid 4 – Ultralight Pyramid Tent

Five hours of sideways sleet and wind at 11,000 feet and the interior stayed bone dry, with the four of us stretched out on our pads without touching walls. Breaking camp was almost sad because the single pole design makes it so effortless to pitch and strike.

Set this up as a four-season basecamp for a weekend of snowshoeing, and the interior space for four is genuinely impressive. The pyramid shape shed a heavy wind load without a single groan, and it packs down small enough to share the sled. Exactly the roomy, reliable retreat I was hoping for.

Took this as a basecamp shelter for four of us and there's genuinely room to sit up and move around, which I didn't expect from a pyramid. Only gripe is it takes a bit of fiddling to get the pitch taut solo. Solid four-season coverage so far.
