Headwall 55

Took this on a three-day tour and the separate safety gear pocket meant my shovel and probe were always reachable without digging through the main compartment. The multiple attachment points held my ice axe and skins securely even through a rough traverse.

The tool attachments are placed perfectly—I can reach my ice axe and probe without taking the pack off, even mid-skin. It’s snug on my back during kick turns, which makes a huge difference after a few days out. Pretty much exactly what I wanted for a multi-day tour.

The external pockets on this pack are a game changer—my beacon, probe, and shovel all have dedicated spots that I can reach without dropping my poles. Spend a full day touring with it and the access points make transitions feel effortless. Really impressed with how well the layout works for ski miss
