Clipping my skis diagonally onto the Crux 40 took maybe ten seconds once I figured out the loop placement. The kit keeps everything tight against the pack, so nothing swings around on the bootpack. Way less fumbling than strapping them A-frame.

I’ve used this kit on my pack for a few day trips now, and the diagonal attachment keeps the skis tucked out of the way without any swinging. The whole thing takes about a minute to set up, which is exactly what I wanted for quick transitions.

The buckle locks in tight and the strap routes cleanly around the pack’s diagonal, so my skis stayed rock-solid on a full day of bootpacking. Setup took maybe two minutes after I figured out the length adjustment, and it doesn’t flop around when I’m scrambling. Exactly what I needed for my Porter.
