Compare the Hyperlite Mountain Gear Wander Bundle with buying the Vice Versa and Bottle Pocket separately. See what's included, the weight, and whether the bundle saves you money.
Quick answer
If you need both the Vice Versa and Bottle Pocket, the Wander Bundle is the better value—it costs $66.60 compared to $90.00 when bought separately, saving you over 25%. But if you only need one of the two, buying separately makes more sense.
What's included in the Wander Bundle
The Wander Bundle combines two Hyperlite Mountain Gear accessories: the Vice Versa and the Bottle Pocket. Together they weigh just 114 grams, making them a lightweight addition to any pack. The Vice Versa is designed to hold your must-haves like communication devices, money, and ID, while the Bottle Pocket carries your hydration within easy reach.
When you buy the bundle, you get both items in one purchase, which simplifies ordering and ensures you have a matched set. Buying separately gives you the flexibility to choose colors or mix and match, but you'll pay more overall.
Price comparison and value
The Wander Bundle is priced at $66.60, while the combined price of the Vice Versa and Bottle Pocket when purchased separately is $90.00. That's a savings of $23.40, or about 26% off. For ultralight enthusiasts who value both organization and hydration, the bundle is a clear cost advantage.
However, if you only need one of the two items, buying the bundle forces you to purchase something you don't need. In that case, buying just the Vice Versa or just the Bottle Pocket individually is the more economical choice, even though you miss out on the bundle discount.
Decision trade-offs
- Need both items?: If you need both the Vice Versa and Bottle Pocket, the Wander Bundle is the clear winner—you save $23.40 compared to buying separately. Check that both items fit your intended use before purchasing.
- Only need one?: If you only need one of the two items, buying separately is more cost-effective. The bundle's discount doesn't justify paying for an accessory you won't use.
- Color or customization?: Buying separately lets you choose different colors or options for each item, while the bundle is a fixed pair. If matching colors is important, separate purchase offers more flexibility.
